Indonesian national team skipper Firman Utina continued to have his knee wrapped during practice on Sunday morning ahead of tonight’s soccer match against the Philippines, after injuring himself in a previous practice.
“We have yet to receive a report from his medical team. Once we receive it, we can decide whether [Firman] can play or not,” assistant coach Wolfgang Pikal said, as quoted by kompas.com.
Firman has been the key player in every one of Indonesia's matches in the 2010 ASEAN Football Federation Cup. He gave an assist to Cristian Gonzales to score the only goal in Indonesia’s win against the Philippines on Thursday. Firman has scored two goals himself in the tournament.
Meanwhile, striker Irfan Bachdim seems to have recovered from his hamstring injury.
